TrueMetals Live collects the minimum data needed to operate the app: (1) your email address and name for account authentication, (2) portfolio items and scan history you create within the app, and (3) price alerts you configure. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising analytics.
We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We may share your data with third-party service providers only as necessary to provide the service. These providers include Google Play (for subscription billing and payment processing), metals API providers (for live market pricing data), and cloud infrastructure providers (for data storage and app hosting). These providers are bound by their own privacy and security obligations and process data only on our behalf to deliver the service.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or government request. This includes complying with court orders, subpoenas, law enforcement requests, and other legal obligations. We may also disclose information to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users or others.
We may share information with service providers and partners for security purposes, including fraud detection, prevention of abuse, and protecting the integrity of our identification systems. This may include sharing non-personal scan metadata, device identifiers, and usage patterns to detect automated abuse, scraping, or fraudulent activity. We do not share your personal portfolio data, collection ownership, or financial information for these purposes.
If you explicitly request that we share your information with a specific third party (for example, exporting your portfolio data to a service you choose), we will only do so with your explicit consent for that specific request. You may revoke this consent at any time.
If you voluntarily enable catalog contribution consent, coin and bullion images you submit through the catalog review feature, along with non-personal identification details (country, denomination, year, mint mark, metal type, weight, diameter), may be stored, processed, edited, compared, and included in the TrueMetals Live identification catalog and database. This does not include your name, email address, portfolio data, collection ownership, purchase price, collection value, location, or any other private account information. You may withdraw consent for future submissions at any time; previously approved catalog records will be retained.
Any portfolio data you enter in the app is stored securely and is only accessible by you. It is never shared with, sold to, or accessed by any third party as part of a public catalog record. Your portfolio ownership, private collection totals, financial information, and account identity are never collected or published as part of the catalog.
When you subscribe to True Metals Premium, billing and payment processing is handled exclusively by Google Play. TrueMetals Live does not collect, store, or process payment card numbers or billing details. We receive only a confirmation of subscription status from Google Play to unlock premium features.
Your email address is used solely for authentication and service-critical communications (e.g., price alerts you set up). It is not used for marketing without your explicit consent.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed. Catalog contribution images and identification data that have been approved and published to the catalog are retained even if you later withdraw consent, as they have become part of the shared identification database.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app. Continued use of TrueMetals Live after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
